Many entrepreneurs focus most of their energies on building companies and accumulating power and wealth. However, one business innovator is making a name for himself by supporting important health causes that can impact millions of people around the world. That person, Jason Hope, is looking to add years and perhaps decades to everyone’s lifetime.
So who is Jason Hope? Mr. Hope made a name for himself in the technology world, creating mobile applications and building companies that have impacted Silicon Valley for over a decade. After graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in finance, Mr. Hope moved on to ASU’s business school where he received a Masters of Business Administration at the W.P. Carey School of Business.
Today, Jason Hope has focused his energies on the ultimate human dilemma – death. Mr. Hope has put a portion his considerable fortune towards anti-aging research. Included in this endeavor is a $500,000 to the SENS Research Foundation center.
So what exactly is SENS? SENS is a non=profit organization, based in California, that considers aging a disease, much like cancer. By taking this disease-based approach, the researchers at SENS are hoping to cure people with an extended lifespan. Jason Hope considers SENS’ lead researcher Dr. Aubrey de Grey to be the ultimate authority in anti-aging research.
In addition to his donation to SENS, Mr. Hope supports other philanthropic efforts such as offering grants to anyone with a good idea. In fact, Mr. Hope allows anyone to submit their idea for grant consideration on his personal website. It is this type of innovative thinking that has helped Mr. Hope find new breakthroughs to support.
Mr. Hope’s writing on anti-aging and technology can be found on Medium.com where he recently wrote about the Rejuvenation Biotechnology Conference. In the blog post, Mr. Hope discussed the innovative ways researchers are using new treatments to prevent and reverse age-related diseases.
From technology to anti-aging research, Jason Hope is looking for ways to improve the human race. As billions of people on the planet face the prospect of aging-related diseases, Mr. Hope is working hard to find a cure. In the coming years, many people may gain extra years to their lives thanks to the work and philanthropy of Jason Hope.
