His first book, “Heal Yourself 101” established him as an authority in optimal health and natural healing. Rothkranz has been invited to conferences in different countries to discuss how people can improve their body, mind, and spirit.

Rothkranz was 30 years old when he decided to make some changes in his life. He felt like there was more to life than working in Hollywood. When he gave away all his things, he went out to a secluded area to meditate for 40 days. He had an epiphany about healthy living and healing. He was almost unrecognizable when he came back home. Rothkranz would later talk about his experiences in the desert in his first book.
The Rothkranz family moved from Cologne, Germany to Ontario, Canada when Markus was only five. Rothkranz said that he was often sick and had a weak immune system when he was young. He was intelligent and highly creative. As a nine-year-old, he gave a speech in school about exponential evolution. At such a young age, Rothkranz believed that mankind would soon expand their level of spirituality.
He was always interested in making things. Once, he made a model of Disney’s Magical Kingdom, complete with computerized parts that move. Rothkranz and his creation were written up by the local newspaper and the New York Times. When he was just 15 years old, he studies under an MGM producer who recognized his talents. Rothkranz created two feature films, “2083” and “Arizona Forever”. He received an award for automotive design from Huron Heights Secondary School as a sophomore in high school.

Rothkranz moved to Florida after graduating and was accepted into the Ringling School of Art and Design. He specialized in realistic oil paintings and received a teaching position in the school. He also worked on design projects for area architecture firms. He designed parks and golf courses for them.
At 23, Rothkranz moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in set design and visual effects. His work can be seen in many major motion pictures. Rothkranz created over 200 commercials for scores of well-known products. He collaborated with some of the top names in the music industry to design sets for their music videos. Rothkranz kept up with his paintings and has fans all over the globe. During this time, he worked in film merchandising and artwork for Sega Pinball.
Currently, Rothkranz stays busy with traveling and discussing natural health. Rothkranz believes that people can heal themselves with a healthful diet and clean living.
