Duda Melzer attained his undergraduate degree in business administration in the year 1998 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Later on in 2002, he pursued an MBA from Harvard University Business School. In addition to the mentioned qualifications, he pursued an executive Course on Effective Strategies for media Companies at Harvard. Duda began his career in Brazil in the financial and franchising markets, where he grew and became a multinational franchisor at ‘sweet sweet way’.
Two years later in 2004, Melzer joined the RBS group, where he worked as the director general for the national market in Brazil. In 2008 he was promoted to the Vice President position of the market and Business Development of the RBS group. In 2010 he became the executive vice president and consequently the president in 2012. It is in the same year that he founded Digital e-bricks and became its president. His position as the president of the RBS Group Brazil was a result of succession from his uncle Nelson Pacheo Sirotsky. Recently in 2016, Duda began acting as the chairman of the board of directors of the company.
In the course of his career, Duda has received several awards including the Cabore Award in the professional vehicle category in 2006. In 2009 he was also on the spotlight as the professional highlight of the Brazilian Advertising Association in the executive vehicle category.
Grupo RBS is one of the most successful family businesses in Brazil that has been operational for nearly sixty years. Duda is part of the third generation of the Sirotsky family and the 56 year old is expected to lead the company to its highest possible rank.
